The Marigold! I wasn’t 100% sure about me in a jumpsuit and to be fair I’m still not 100% about me in a jumpsuit. I decided to make a few changes to the jumpsuit to make it work for my lifestyle.

The first most obvious hack is that I have added ties onto the sleeves. I would have loved for these to be a bit longer however I have restricted with how much fabric I had to work with.
The major ‘hack’ I made to the jumpsuit was to make it as trousers and a seperate top. Worn together they create a faux look jumpsuit but they can also be worn apart which I love as it makes each piece more versatile.
Obviously you can already make the trousers with the Marigold Pattern so this part of it is not really a hack! I love the way the trousers fit right out of the packet. I find the peg leg design so flattering on me and they are the perfect length. Usually I need to take pants up however these are fine with just them hem it comes with.
I was actually initially unsure about the neckline of the jumpsuit top but actually I think it is super cute and I’ll definitely be making more of these as tops in spring / summer to wear with high-waisted skirts. I added on an extra inch to the length of the top but next time I will definitely need to add more (I was again restricted by how much fabric I had.)
I have no idea where I got this material from but it wasn’t the best for the jumpsuit (this was a wearable toile) I will definitely make these again as seperate pieces as I don’t really feel the jumpsuit suits me but I like the versatility of the top & trousers.
