I Made Curtains!

I am so so exited to share this with you…I made curtains!!!!

A friend approached me a while ago to make curtains for her nursery and of course I jumped at the chance. After a little bit of research I ended up going with this hidden tabbed fully lined curtain tutorial.

I had enough material left over to also make her this cute matching cushion & fabric baskets.

I am so pleased with how they turned out! Scroll down to watch this week’s video where I talk more about my experience x

Jessica – you did a great job! I had my own window treatment business, before I got my MBA and returned to work. Sewing window treatments is a very lucrative business and not nearly as difficult as making garments. You will do well in anything your decide. Thank you for sharing your makes.

Oh thank you so much Dana! I didn’t realise how little there was in the market available for window furnishings – not sure I will add them to my shop as an option yet but something to look into xx

I had a soft furnishings business for years after dressmaking a lot and totally agree with you Dana ! – so much easier making curtains than fiddly garments. Just long straight lines of stitching with the biggest stitch on your machine 🙂 – it goes like the wind. Bravo Jessica and I’m going to promote your post on Twitter to inspire others. All best wishes
